About me, eh? This is a blog surrounding my faith life, and I’ll get to that in more detail momentarily.
How I make a living! My day-job is as a retail pharmacist. I got started in that because I loved helping people and (at the time!) chemistry. I discovered I didn’t like chemistry as much as I thought, but it’s okay! The bigger part of being a retail pharmacist is helping people. I can leave the hard-core science to the research folks!
My awesome family! I’m married since 1992 to the most WONDERFUL man on earth. Together we have 2 adorable kids, a boy and a girl. He has a son from a previous relationship. This son and his fiance have a beautiful little girl…so I’m a darned young grandma! Kinda cool.
(really!) Abbreviated Faith Story. Well, I suppose my background is fairly liberal, both theologically and politically. I was raised Roman Catholic, took a church vacation in my 20’s, married and returned to the church through the Episcopal red door. Long story short, found out God was more about relationship than rules, and life hasn’t been the same since.
I even found myself drawn to enter the discernment process to become a deacon. Living through that process has undoubtedly shaped the person I am today. You don’t remain unchanged after navigating that process, that’s to be sure! I hope changed for the better; I definitely feel it has stretched me and that I have grown a great deal. I remain in the Process, informally at the moment, but in contact with our bishop. (5/28/09, wrote an official exit-from-the-process letter to our bishop. Prayer remains, of course, but no more periodic letters to our bishop.) I remain in prayer, trying to sense as best I can (discerning, hopefully!) where the Spirit moves me to forge ahead with words and actions, and where to hang back with inner quiet and attentiveness. All will be well, as Julian of Norwich has said.
Writing. I have this thing for writing…it’s spiritual and therapeutic for me. If it touches you, I am honored. If it occupies some bit of cyberspace, sight unseen by any eyes but mine, that’s okay too. I love to write, and pray, and the two activities very often have a great deal of overlap for me. Amateur, untrained formally, but faithful and well-intentioned, I hope. So here we are, and welcome to my outlet for a portion of that overlap, my blog!
WELCOME!!!! I’d LOVE to hear from you.
Comment on the blog…that’d be awesome.

Well, let’s get started! Be well, and be blessed.
